Find a route of 5k. Wilmslow PR course or maybe the Styal handicap something similar.
Start with 5mins dynamic stretches (star jumps, high knees, skip, greek dancing)
Run 5k. pace = threshold/brisk
(COACH CORNER ;THRESHOLD (THR) or BRISK – Around your target half-marathon pace (85% WHR). ”BRISK” sometimes refers to half marathon pace while “THRESHOLD” refers to 10 mile pace. Often described as feeling ‘comfortably hard’ aim to hit about an 8 on a perceived exertion scale of 10.)
make a note of the time it takes.
(You should be quicker next time.)
